Business Development Representative

About you

Our Business Development Rep will be responsible for contacting businesses and companies to encourage new sales and seek allies. As an essential part of the Partnerships Area and the commercial process, the position must generate new transactions from existing customers and prospecting and closing deals with new merchants. A successful Business Development Rep must be proactive, well connected, self-directed, and an excellent negotiator.

  • Make contact with AAA businesses and companies to encourage new sales and allies (through networking, cold calls and telemarketing).

  • Generate new business from existing customers, assessing needs and identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

  • Prospecting for new Merchants, closing sales and retaining them.

  • Promote our platform to our clients and communicate our value proposition.

  • Answer any question, involving members of the corresponding team.

  • Manage customer relationships and document all key interactions in the CRM.

  • Be in continuous contact with clients, ensure that they comply with their obligations on the platform.

  • Negotiate and guarantee compliance in a timely manner according to schedules.

  • Facilitates interdepartmental communication with main areas such as Technology, Marketing and Sales.

  • Present daily and weekly results reports.

  • Initiate and drive cross-functional projects to achieve client goals.

  • Monitor daily activity (calls, emails, demos).

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, commercial area or related.

  • At least 5 years of sales or key account management experience in a B2B environment.

  • Experienced user of CRM and project management platforms (Hubspot, salesForce, LinkedIn, etc).

  • Desirable experience in Fintech or Startups.

  • High energy and drive.

  • Proactive, motivated and goal-oriented team player.

  • Self directed.

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; an aptitude for building relationships.

  • Ability to deal with negative situations and rejection from external agents.

  • Patience and quality in the way of communicating with the client/merchant to clarify doubts.

  • Flexibility to work with other areas.

  • Knowledge of CRMs (Hubspot, Sales Force, etc.).

  • Assertive communication.

  • Advanced level of English.
